As the year is ending, I’m getting close to completing my reading challenges. One of these challenges is the 2021 Reading Challenge from The 52 Book Club. The 52 Book Club also hosted a mini reading challenge for the month of November. I didn’t think I had time to finish this challenge, but luckily I could easily use books from my other challenges! Here are the books I read for the 52 Book Club’s November Mini Reading Challenge.
Prompts
A character in the same age group as you: The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman
- I read this book for the first time in 2020 for the PopSugar Reading Challenge. I’ve been wanting to reread it since I purchased my own copy earlier this year.
Recommended by a Stranger: An American Marriage by Tayari Jones
- I chose this book for this year’s PopSugar Reading Challenge because I needed a book that won the award for Women’s Prize for Fiction. This was a harder category to fill since there were not as many options to choose from.
A character whose religion you know little about: Educated by Tara Westover
- I read this book as part of a local book club for the month of November. I’m not familiar with the Mormon religion, so I was excited I could count this book for this prompt.
Each of these books I was planning to read for 2021, so it worked well that they fit in the November Mini Reading Challenge. In addition, these books fit several prompts for my other reading challenges.
